Open House today!!

The advantages of shopping at an open house…

I thought it might be nice to point some of these things out.

When you shop at an open house, you get to see the creative space and get a better perspective of how the creative process works. Of course you get to know the artist a little better when you share a glass of wine and some homemade cookies.

A big benefit is that because of the lower overhead vs a show or store that would add consignment fees, is that the artist is able to lower the prices giving you some great deals on last minute shopping!

Who knows what else? You might run into someone you met briefly before and felt like you really connected. Leading to a serendipitous moment that propels you into a lifetime of happiness. Well, I don’t know if I can promise you that, but everything else is very happening this Saturday… Hope you can make it.

The Red Onion is Open!

I had the pleasure of taking some pictures of the store at the open house the night before the opening…. I overheard Stan talking to a member of the community about how a store will take on a personality of it’s own. Stan remarked to the effect that it is dependent on the type of people you employ and how well you treat them. He has created 58 new jobs in the community.

Best of luck to you!

The Red Onion Fresh Market

I met a lot of the local business owners last night at the DeForest Chamber’s Annual Dinner Celebration. One of the people I met was Stan Yerges, we are very excited to welcome him and his new Red Onion Fresh Market to the community. How refreshing that we will have a local establishment offering the freshest of fresh in the areas of meat, produce and bakery!

Stan is a dynamic entrepreneur, you can learn more about him and the Red Onion Fresh Market at http://redonionfreshmarket.com/

Red Onion Fresh Market’s grand opening is set for mid-February 2010, located at 302 N. Main Street in the heart of DeForest be sure to check them out… shop local!
